Louisiana High School Football Scores - Week 5

Defending 3A champ Lutcher proved Friday that its August jamboree shutout of Destrehan was no fluke. The Bulldogs blew-out the defending 5A champs 48-10. According to the Times-Picayune, Lutcher rolled-up 577-yards in total offense with senior quarterback Gavin Webster leading the way completing 25 of 28 passes for 349 yards and five touchdowns.

3A Champ Lutcher Ready For Round 2 Against 5A Champ Destrahan

At the end of August, defending 3A champ Lutcher stunned defending 5A champ Destrehan 25-0 in a jamboree. That game didn't count in the records, but may have been a sign of things to come.

Lutcher, which is now a 4A school, enters tomorrow night's showdown with Destrehan a perfect 4-0, while the Wildcats are 2-2. For more on tomorrow night's showdown, check-out the preview in The Times-Picayune by reporter Lori Lyons.

Four weeks into the season, and one runner has already topped the 1,000 yard mark. He's Tony Casey of Homer with 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns according to statistics provided by reporter Ron Brocato for the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
